| I had this bright polished rear strut bar that was very anoying reflecting the sun as I drive. It is also the only thing that looked chrome in the interior. I hadn't seen anyone else with an eye pleasing install of the rear strut bar so I went to work on it. I painted the bar with flat black krylon and with the help of my wife made some leather boots to cover the hole and hardware. My wife, Tracey, had to take over the sewing duties when started to choke. The yellow stitching matches the first thing I bought for my z - yellow stiched ebrake and shiter boots I got from some guy in Poland. I used black door edge trim (pep boys)arround the holes perviously when I had installed the bar. (
Now the bar almost dissapears and passes for stock to the untrained eye. I can't believe how much work I did for a stupid little $40 ebay strut bar :) I couldn't find a good before picture but in this older one you can see how the polished bar use to be easily seen from the outside.
